Mendoan is also one of the most popular Banjarnegara foods. Mendoan is indeed a typical Central Javanese food that is quite different from mendoan in some areas which also have the typical culinary form of the same mendoan. What's different is how to cook it and marinade. This typical Banjarnegara food is the same as mendoan in general, which is made from the main ingredients of wide thin tempeh wrapped in crispy flour. The distinctive feature of this Banjarnegara mendoan is the presence of chives on the flour wrapped in tempeh.



How to make tempe mendoan typical of banjarnegara

Ingredients:
-10 sheets of tempeh
-200 gr of flour
-250 ml of water
-1 stem of leeks, finely sliced

ground spices :
-2 cloves of garlic
-1 turmeric finger segment
-3/4 tsp salt or according to taste
-1/4 tsp sugar (optional)
-1/2 tsp coriander powder
-1/4 tsp pepper powder

Steps:
Prepare basic ingredients, namely tempeh
-Enter flour + fine spices into the container, pour water little by little while stirring well and add chives then stir again until blended.
-Dry the tempeh into the flour mixture and fry until half dry
- Serve warm and don't forget the cayenne pepper
