Buntil is one of the special foods of Banjarnegara that you must try its deliciousness if you are visiting this Central Java Province. This very tasty special food is made from the basic ingredients of cassava leaves or taro leaves which inside can be filled with fillings such as grated coconut which has been seasoned with various spices first.


Typical food of Banjarnegara is usually more often using cassava leaves and not taro leaves. This way of cooking food called Buntil uses coconut milk and of course with delicious Banjarnegara spices. If you want to enjoy the delicacy of this food, you can eat it with a plate of rice that is still warm, so that it tastes more solid.

How to make a bundle of cassava leaves

Ingredients:
-1 tie small cassava leaves
-1/2 grated young coconut
-2 pieces of salted fish, jambal roti (other salted fish can be replaced)
-3 packs of coconut milk

dressing:
-3 garlic cloves
-5 red onion cloves
-2 red chillies
-5 cayenne pepper
-Small salt (salted with salted fish)
-a little brown sugar

seasoning sauce:
-5 cloves of garlic
-6 cloves of shallots
-3 large red chillies
-3 cayenne fruit (to taste)
-15 pieces of chili are not followed
-Collar to taste
-1 cm turmeric

Steps:
-Boil cassava leaves until tender, drain

- Do it until the ingredients run out
- Steam for +/- 45 minutes
- Smooth the spices for the sauce, except for greetings, lemongrass, orange leaves
-Make the spices until fragrant, add bay leaves, lemongrass, orange leaves
-Enter water and coconut milk, add whole cayenne pepper, salt, sugar, flavoring, taste
-When it has boiled, add the steamed buntil, leave it for a while until the spices are absorbed
-Before removing the raffia strap that wraps the bundle
-Buntil is ready to be served
